After twenty years my pin came loose and my knife fell apart.
Price
I paid $65 at a 3 letter outdoor retailer in eastern tn.
At this price point, it's hard to beat.
I paid $50 for the gator, so i use it in situations where i might hesitate to pull out a $180 spyderco or cold steel.
Packaging/appearance
Came in a nice durable cloth protective pouch, and was easy to not only flip open but to cut whatever that you needed to get at.

However the blade has resisted corrosion maintained a good edge and proven itself easy to sharpen whenever the need arises

First and foremost the gator has no flipper thumb studs or even nail knicks so one handed open and close is not easy
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This can be remedied by purchasing something like kwik studs but whether or not this really matters is of personal preference

The other complaint is the new sheath
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The knife comes with a nylon sheath which while not terrible probably will not hold up long to daily belt carry
