Quality is fantastic there is a reason this knife is still being made.

Nylon sheath:nothing wrong with the current one as far as stitch job and function,every bit as good as the older one.

I actually bought it in the early 2000's and just recently bought a slightly smaller knife (crkt m16) with a pocket clip.

It offers more than many knives twice its price.

I believe buck knives made a competitor to this in the 90's with the buck 450 protégé.
