Pros & Cons
Pros
The gerber gator puts a new spin on the classic buck 110 spine lock and brings it into the 21st century (or rather the early 1990s, when this design debuted) it's a full encapsulated tang of 420hc steel, which will be quite hardy and easy to touch up ... Read More
The handle is covered with santoprene, (like a fine pb swiss grip screwdriver) despite the lack of thumb studs or hole, i can easily open it one handed. The rubberized nonstick surface makes for a great grip and it’s comfortable to use.
The serrated part helps'saw' open the breastplate to get out lungs, windpipe, etc. It's small enough to handle and cleanly cut away all connective tissue around the organs. Can be used for everything from a screw driver and scraper to gutting deer.
Hc precision adjust sharpener. Fits great in hand, isnt slippery sharpens really easy. Holds an awsome edge.

Price
What a great knife for the price!
154cm steel at this price is a bargain.

Packaging/appearance
Came in a nice durable cloth protective pouch, and was easy to not only flip open but to cut whatever that you needed to get at.
And most of the time it’s when i’m in the car opening up a package or something to that nature (those really hard to open beef ... Read More
Competitiveness

They do their 154cm better than civivi or kizer in my opinion.
In this price range, the gerber gator is hard to beat.
