The gerber gator puts a new spin on the classic buck 110 spine lock and brings it into the 21st century (or rather the early 1990s, when this design debuted) it's a full encapsulated tang of 420hc steel, which will be quite hardy and easy to touch up ... Read More

The handle is covered with santoprene, (like a fine pb swiss grip screwdriver) despite the lack of thumb studs or hole, i can easily open it one handed. The rubberized nonstick surface makes for a great grip and it’s comfortable to use.

The serrated part helps'saw' open the breastplate to get out lungs, windpipe, etc. It's small enough to handle and cleanly cut away all connective tissue around the organs. Can be used for everything from a screw driver and scraper to gutting deer.

Hc precision adjust sharpener. Fits great in hand, isnt slippery sharpens really easy. Holds an awsome edge.

What a great knife for the price!

154cm steel at this price is a bargain.

Retail is $50, and it usually sells for $42, which is a bit much in my opinion for what you are getting.

I can only recommend this knife if you can get it on sale for 35 bucks or less.
