Pros

The negative reviews are the seller and not the product. Overall, the knife is decent for the money. When people ask how much it cost, i reply with i bought it same time as a few other things.

Sharp, durable, and moderately priced. Sharpens easily using the rod my kitchen knives all use.

I wish the frame was aluminum but other than that its very sturdy, fairly solid. It takes some getting used to and after a few days my thumb is sore.

Assisted opening is the * to push the blade out. Easy to flick open.

The blade is crazy sharp, but the swing on it is very stiff. Being ground like a big razor, makes this knife perfect for that. I always carry a blade so it'll be nice in situations where i want one that's not intimidating and looks kinda classy.

Cons

The safety mechanism is so hard to unlock. It's also essentially impossible to flick open one handed without nearly throwing the knife across the room. You flip it and it opens about half way. The sharpness of the blade is also *really* uneven.

Neither of these diminish the overall quality.

I have lifted about a dozen of these over the last couple years but everytime i get one it gets stolen.

Price

Maybe now that i've paid for one.

Plus it's half the price of what is on the gerber website

I'm sure that one could spend less for a perfectly functional knife but won't have the same character!
