The quality of this bowie is very sturdy, and remarkably comfortable to hold.
I never had any issue with the other clasp and it flicks open when needed to with one hand.

I really like it though it's a great buy for the price.
Can't beat gerber for a number of reasons
Like a lot of gerbers it's made from aus 8 stainless steel like the steadfast and bmf before it.

This is the weakest point in the knife its still very study construction for how flawed that design is

Two things that i recommend doing to the sheath is to wrap and reinforce the sheath belt loop where it is sewn into the sheath itself i used high tensioned electrical tape with krazy glue on mine and never had another issue with it even tried yanking on it a few times for testing

The other thing to do is remove the secondary clasp that wraps around the handle because honestly it just gets in the way and is extremely tight it takes 2 hands to clasp which in my opinion makes the feature useless when its on my hip
