Cause i am a housewife, the quality of all stuff in the kitchen means a lot to me.
Those negative reviews made me reluctant to purchase but the product looked good so i decided to give it a try.
Product works well, no complaints except it is a little hard to clean up and it spits food (cheese, meats) pieces out over the table.

Such nice meat slicer with this excellent price!

The gap between the end of the meat platen and meat table/blade was quiet large and meat would be dragged through the gap.

It also has a safety interlock when the shaft holding the cutting blade center plate is removed the unit only runs while holding down the green on button

All in all most of it has adequate fit and finish but i did find that attaching the plastic meat cover to the platen to be quite annoying thumb screws would be a great improvement

The first was with the plastic shield in that it did not fit correctly it was hitting the bottom of the platen which stopped one of the screws from lining up with the hole

A few minutes with a small sanding drum on my dremel and the problem was fixed see picture
