Pros

Gibson is the parent company for the lg brand, among others. The glaze has a high shine, which i love. There are variations with the brightness/tone of the glaze on some pieces.

They have a lovely curved shape and gorgeous coloration. If you want something that is affordable with a hand crafted look these are for you.

Great size of plates and bowls. Now i have extra bowls and small plates for when they do eventually chip or break. I like how each plate is unique. They definitely feel more substantial and better quality.

Larger salad/pasta bowls are perfect for substantial servings. The weightiness speaks to the quality of the ceramics used. Large plate, dessert plate, cereal size bowl, and salad size bowl.

Cons

The glaze cracks almost immediately and the bowls get mold/mildew even after letting them dry completely in the dishwasher. Plate shattered after being in the microwave for 3 minutes.

Just repackage it all back up and return to amazon. They win because i simply do not have the time nor interest in repackaging and returning. They said they would offer a 50% refund if i returned the entire set to them.

The green reactive glazing is lovely and they are heavy weight just as i’d hoped.

These are not light weight because this is stoneware.

Every single one of them chipped and only had them for a few years!

For the price, these beauties are unbeatable.

I have been looking for a set of nice and affordable stoneware for a while.

If you want something that is affordable with a hand crafted look these are for you.

Shipping

Shipping was quick and very well packed to avoid damage.

The company just sent me a 4th set and everything came in perfect.

To my surprise, they were broken again during shipment.

They were shipped by another shipping company.

Packaging/appearance

They were packed carefully in environmentally friendly material (cardboard).

These are so well packaged not one dish broken.

What i received is identical to what is pictured.

I was really hoping that what the seller called "light blue" looked much more like the aqua blue that the amazon photos show.
