The fuller sound is excellent and i really like the design of this guitar.
Satin finish & no neck binding though the fretboard does have rolled edges and feels super comfortable.
Tone & quality go without saying - it's a usa gibson.
Price
You won't find these pickups appear in any current gibson sg model until you get to the sg standard hp at £1,149!
Though i have noticed it sneaking up in price, so best move quickly and save yourself a few pounds before they put the price up again.
Packaging/appearance
Not that it required too much setting up, it came out the box, got tuned and got played.
Competitiveness
I look forward to more collaborations between amazon and gibson - or indeed other major makers!

This particular guitar was indeed only ever available direct from amazon and i wrote to gibson for them to confirm the serial number and specification which they duly did

At a casual glance this appears to be the 2017 special t with uncovered zebra pickups however unlike the special t and despite what the description says this guitar does not have the usual gibson 490r490t pickups it has the far more expensive and highly regarded 57 classic pickups
