Pros
The case feels very nice and sturdy. The cooling on the laptop is pretty top notch.
The laptop runs affinity photo and affinity designer smooth and fast, similar to the desktop that i am replacing this laptop with. It compiles videos close to 4x the speed it took my desktop. As for the machine performance and specs, all is good.
The 3080 in it is actually very capable even though it's only 105w when boosted. Installed a 2tb samsung 970 evo plus in the second slot a couple weeks after receiving the unit.

Cons
Will never buy a gigabyte laptop again. Go with any other brand other than gigabyte. Screen is really flimsy and if you want to carry this in my backpack.
Highlights
Quality
I use the creator video drivers and they work well with the applications i use.
With the ease of upgrading this laptop, i was able to add a second ssd to contain ubuntu 20.
That's not what this device is suited tothe screen quality is good.
The big issue with the screen is the response time.
Price
I wanted a graphic card, but the price is around the price of this laptop.
Packaging/appearance
The bird on the back of the screen does light up white when on.
The fans on the aorus 15p is quieter or the same as the 5700xt.
Competitiveness
Hardware wise, this will outperform most of the higher priced competitors with similar specs (as the gpu can boost to 130w).
It's a lowish price 16gb 3080 laptop that still manages to stay cooler than some previous gaming laptops i've had.
The control center is terrible worse than alienware one x(the tb4 port doesn't send a display out signal idfk why!

Unfortunately my laptops screen came with backlight bleeding so i asked amazon for a replacement unit

As a negative point the laptop does not have a mux switch so it is not possible to deactivate optimus

This point is no longer important if you are playing on a gaming monitor or an hdtv

You can play doom eternal at native 4k with all the graphic settings in ultra at 60 fps or even more if your hdtv is 120hz
