Pros & Cons
Pros
Gigabyte's new am5 motherboard is a great buy. The front panel plug is generous, and the ethernet plug is *right there* on the back panel. The bios is friendlier than most, including the ability to enable the on-board graphics even when a pcie graphic... Read More
This rev 1. Board has a lot of io ports. It also has four memory slots and nvme slots for storage. It was delivered to the philippines on time. It has 3 gb ports and 3 m.
Highlights
Quality
Everything worked once i successfully updated the bios to a ryzen 9000-supported version (f30).
I'm still giving 5 stars because it works well after troubleshooting.
Mine took ~10 minutes with a single 48 gb ddr5 stick, and roughly the same after i added a second stick for a total of 96 gb.
I couldn't get the motherboard to post until i flashed the bios to f30 using a 16 gb usb stick and q-flash plus.
Competitiveness
For a ryzen 9000 series cpu (ryzen 9600x, 9700x, 9900x, 9950x), you need a bios version f30 or higher.
