Pros & Cons
Pros
The g27q is both freesync (amd) and g-sync (n nvidia) compatible. Its stand has adjustable height and vertical tilt which were also easy to adjust. My only complaint is that there is noticeable black-level smearing.
The colour and sharpness of the image is fantastic. The image is crisp and not too curved, so i can still sit about 1. M away. The only drawback is the lack of contrast.
Switching is easy with the hdmi options using the little joystick on the back. The speaker is not amazing but acceptable for a monitor of this size and price. The headphone jack is bad to reach just as the usb but, on the other hand, it is a feature i... Read More
Cons
Response time is ok, but i don't play fast paste shooters, so can't comment on ghosting. Everytime monitor is switched on & it turns to hdr mode its brightness goes to blinding 100% and everytime you have to set it back to previous settings manual... Read More
Highlights
Quality
I've been using this for a few days now and i am super impressed with the smoothness and configuration options.
My experience with the g27q since buying it has been great.
The only defect i can see is the audio quality of the speakers, it is terrible.
The 1440p resolution used is the standard resolution of 2560 x 1440; it's a higher resolution display with the same dimensional... Read More
Price
The height is adjustable ( which it wasnt on some of the other curved monitors i looked at) and the price was reasonable.
I would highly recommend this if you want a fairly high quality/high refresh rate 1440p 27 screen at this price range (£250-£350).
Packaging/appearance
The only minor niggle is the slightly flimsy on-off-settings button on the back of the screen.
The picture is clear and every detail is there on the screen.
Competitiveness
Also a little side note this can also run at 2k and 4k uhd and to say it’s a 1440p panel 4k content looks nice without any blur!
It's also has a refresh rate of 144hz making fps games feel amazing.
The colours at default are bad but i can calibrate them other than that it’s a moniter and it shows pictures n stuff
The refresh rate of 144hz means that the display updates the screen 144 times a second, over twice as often as a typical 60hz display.

If none of the standard settings suit your eyes or room then you can make your own by tweaking everything either directly on the monitor or with the sidekick software

The screws are fractionally differently placed and the entire thing is inset such that the monitor wont go onto a standard monitor arm and you have to use the stand that comes with it
