Pros & Cons
Pros
Fan noise gets a little whooshy when pushed but with an evga supernova p1000 psu i have no coil whine at all. This places stress on the power connector and the cord, and could be responsible for some of the arcing / cable fires. The open top side of i... Read More
This is one of the best rtx 4090s for the price if you can afford it. It has great performance in games compared to the 3000 series and features like frame generation work great in games like ms flight simulator. If you search gigabyte 4090 fan revvin... Read More
I have never seen such a powerful gpu before, this specific model looks amazing with nicely colored plates. Even on an i9 9900k, it offers massive gains over my 2080 * in any scenario where i'm not limited by my cpu or 3200mhz ram speed. Paired with a... Read More
Be warned though, the thing is huge. Like, vcr from the 90s huge. The materials on it are sturdy.
Cons
Every 4090 is overbuilt and more than capable of handing stock settings. There really isn't much reason to buy this card should it be selling meaningfully above msrp.
This card constantly crashes. It's loud, it makes grinding noises from unstable bearings. Only option i’ve gotten from amazon is to return and refund it.
Highlights
Quality
Built a pc for ai rendering and games, in stable diffusion getting 25 it/s, games all settings ultra no issues.
Works great after flashing the bios - updating firmware and running latest software.
This card is heavy and without that bracket it will break itself under it's own weight.
This one at 144hz has so little that it's actually tolerable and usually drowned out by ambient/game noise.
Price
I was able to get a great price for this product.
A monster in terms of power, only wished its price wasn't inflated from all the crypto mining, if you can get it for $1500 or l... Read More
At time of this review 10/12/24 - cost betwen $1700-2200 usd new.
If you have the $$ and want the best then here ya go.
Shipping
I know reading most of the low reviews that most are user errors or you got shipped a used return.
I was able to refund the product no problem and shipped another with no issue.
Competitiveness
The card has a much better cooler than the trio and most of all no buzzing.
Just bought a 140 refresh rate monitor so i can test this baby out to its max capabilities.
It is not recommended unless you have a high end cpu like an intel 12th gen part or amd zen 3 or higher.
I tried a msi gaming trio and a founders edition but they just didn't work for me.
