Pros & Cons
Pros
This monitor has a quirk that vastly improves its resistance to ghosting. After two weeks of usage, no dead pixels so far. My only caveat is the physical menu button. It's hard to not notice the pixel once you know it's there.
Color is crystal clear and the color is quite vibrate. The movement is super sharp and crisp. Color are great from start without any tweaking necessary.
Gigabyte m34wq comes with an hdmi, displayport, and high speed usb cable. Only disappointment is that it says it's 144 ghz refresh rate but only allows you to set it as high as 99 ghz. Huge upgrade from my older monitor at a low price.
Its performance consistency is certainly commendable. The lip of the monitor isn't as bad as some reviewers make it out to be. There are plenty of highly technical reviews on here covering all kinds of flaws and highlights.
Cons
The g34wqc is extremely grainy. It's like someone is flashing the brightness up and down constantly. Dead pixel on first power up. The image gets blurry when things are moving at 144hz.
Black smearing catches the eye of many reviewers. I read professional reviews before buying this monitor (rtings, display ninja) and the biggest complaint they had was the black smearing.
Speakers are terrible. The pos internal speakers were probably recycled from 1982. Gigabyte is garbage these days. You work your * off and buy what you think are nice things, only to not last you a measly year or so.
Highlights
Quality
If i watch a high quality movie or stream a game, no issues.
This gives me flexibility to be able to resize easily, and really helped with my adjustment to the size.
Whenever my laptop would turn off the monitor after a given time, the resolution would shrink to something like 650xwhatever.
This is unfortunate because to get the highest refresh rate and pixel depth i need to use the dp connection.

I can honestly say this monitor doesn’t really have any cars especially for the price point that i got it at.
Overall a good monitor and at less than half the cost of the 49” monitor i’m doing just fine.
Competitiveness
Coming from a couple of monitors this gave me about 40% more pixels.
