Quality


Very pleased with the product and of high quality.


Temps are good with the windforce, plus it looks good and is reasonably quiet too.


It just cannot keep up with the demands of a modern game at high settings.


The 290x was totally unstable and the drivers crashed frequently making it almost unusable, not a problem i've had with the 970.

Price


Amazing gcard, quite, powerful and a decent price.


970s have always been known to be a bit iffy, especially after driver updates but it is a great card that is totally worth the price.

Packaging/appearance


That doesn't take away from the card itself tho, that's why the 5 stars.


Once i had removed the windforce cooler, the pcb measures just 10.

Competitiveness


Solid quiet cooling even in my matx chassis.


The difference in performance is pretty noticeable, with a pretty big step-up in average framerates across most of the latest games.

    I have not found a game that is too demanding that i cant run it with decent graphics

    At this point might be better off with a 1060 6gb if youre buying new though unless you can get this for £50 cheaper or more

    There are more powerful gpus on the market but in my opinion they dont justify the huge additional cost
