Quality
Rgb-fusion works perfectly with the antec dp501 case's rgb color display.
Gigabyte makes a high quality product these days.
And since i got slightly better performance with the asrock board that cost $120 less, i decided to keep that board.
I later replaced by ssd with the samsung nvram.
Packaging/appearance
Said it came in orginal packaging but the box it came in was just black.
The only downside is that the motherboard is loosened with a screw loose in the box.
Competitiveness
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good x299 board.
Great motherboard it has allthe necessary accessories!
Top two usb3 ports didn't work and threw some annoying repetitive error until i disabled their drivers in device manager.
One accomodates usb ports on the front panel.

I ran into issues with vm ip address assignments caused by my use of wifi highly unlikely in realworld scenarios vms arent hosted on servers having wifi only connectivity
