Pros & Cons
Pros
Using a noctua chroma. Case to help the beast breathe. It’s a hassle, but for me it was worth the octune and siv controls. Bluetooth runs over the same antenna and i feel i am getting better reception.
Aorus pro ax is a nice motherboard and quite an upgrade from basic model. Gaming at 240hz and reaching max fps on 1080p with out a hitch. Currently i run 1tb nvme sataand1tb sata ssd from this.
The black bracket is bequiet / the bare metal bracket is the noctua nh-u12s. Good price without breaking the bank. I highly recommend this board.
Cons
Gigabyte needs to either recheck or reseat the northbridge heatsink. Display issues are rampant. If you want to keep at it though i highly suggest you remove the original heatsink and apply you're own northbridge heatink. Gigabyte qc fail! I assume th... Read More
Steer clear of this board. The odds of finding a flash drive compatible with the board are slim. Most have either rma'd this board or simply returned it, like i am, and avoiding the headache.
Highlights
Quality
Extremely satisfied with the pcie configuration and over all layout.
Super pleased with the fast boot times with ddr5, even with xmp enabled.
After the fact i checked the supported memory and only the g.
Be aware, the noctua nh-d15s as shipped, does not have the correct support backing plate to work with this motherboard.
Packaging/appearance
I've had zero issues with it vs the hours spent on the asrock board just to achieve a minimum level of acceptable performance.
I instead just ordered the x670 aorus elite ax which worked great.
The gigabyte software is so much more functional and worked right out of the box.
Competitiveness
This board has been compared against msi, asrock and asus and still comes out on top.
Used an aorus board on my last build, so i continued that tradition on my new pc build.
I had an asrock x570 that died after 16 months and now i'm glad it died.
Basically usb is limited to gen1 (5mb/s) speeds and gen2 devices need to be plugged to gen1 ports to work at all.

I dont know that the recommended memory would have performed any differently but given all the recent issues on all mfgrs bios versions its looks like close attention is required
