Pros

This one is just as lovely as prior iterations and felt a lot better too. The pointy one has a really sharp edge and it cuts. Verystable, easy to install.

This motherboard is amazing! It's insanely cool in temps and looks and has a wonderful ui for the bios. Built in wifi is really good, it's practically as good as an external card.

No issues even with the factory f3 bios; flashed the f6 bios immediately. Runs well with 12700k cpu/msi radeon 580; very stable. If you get the 13th gen intel cpu i recommend updating the bios which is super easy to do as it has a q flash button.

Decent integrated rgb and heatsink designs. Plenty of plugins for different needs. Led debug light is also a big plus and rgb looks cool. Other than that, works great!

Cons

This board is plagued with ddr4 memory compatibility issues. It argues with my brand new i7, it downgrades memory speeds, none of the gigabyte software works. Removing everything but the cpu and memory and attempting to boot - doesn't work.

It shipped with the launch bios and upgrading to the latest bios was easy.

Competitiveness

Tests include cpuid powermax, cinebench r23, monitored w/cpuid hwmonitor and few others with no issues.

Rather than building a gaming pc with it, i built out a truenas server, running plex.

I'm guessing different revisions and different price points or something.

Note: i ended up pairing this motherboard with an intel i7-12700k.
