Pros

Built-in wifi 7, 5gbe ethernet, and pcie 5. This is a great base for my pc upgrade. The motherboard is way more capable than anything i ever needed.

Cons

I can't get the 4060 even seen by the board. The wi-fi 7 on the board is unsupported by windows 10. The fine-tuning features, while extensive, are overshadowed by the fundamental flaws in performance and reliability.

Quality

The motherboard is great and works great and runs great when all is assembled and updated as necessary.

It has been stable and can handle all the stress test i tried.

The ddr5 ram sticks that i purchased recently have white coating, by total luck they matched the color of the motherboard.

After getting all the other stuff i needed to upgrade to this motherboard (cpu/ram/cooler), i assembled and have been rocking it since.

This is a solid board for the price!

On one had, it is subjectively expensive.

I am not gonna lie, this is a lot to pay for a motherboard, but given all of the capability, it is understandable.

Competitiveness

Thought i would chime in here since gigabyte boards seem to have fewer reviews and generally the gigabyte brand gets a bad rep.

I think that the only other real option (that you can still buy, since asus won't restock those z790s) is the nzxt white mobo.

This board has definitely turned me on to aorus branded products and i'll be considering them ahead of other brands moving forward!

Those are the biggest differences for me when comparing other boards like the elite x/ax.
