Pros

This is my 3rd de, my first was a viking revolution, very low priced for a butterfly open shaver, my second a merkur 34c. I prefer this gillette or the viking for more sensitive neck area. The shave is quite nice as well.

Head is made of chrome plated brass and has a decent weight. The head is a de 89 which is the most popular head (edwin jagger, merkur, muhle to name a few) the razor works fine and size and weight are great.

Me, i am one happy camper with this product.

Cons

The gillette of yesteryear is dead and buried. The only marking on the razor itself is a number 4. Too bad gillette just refuses to do things right.

The weight is also too light, even the fatboy weighs more as do most modern de razors. The gillette blades are horrible. Blade is so loose you will get a cut. I might actually toss it in the garbage, it’s that bad.

This razor destroys gillettes 100years + reputation! This product is unsafe. Do not recommend.

Good quality construction, and gets me a good shave.

The top of the razor is extremely high quality from germany, just the handle is made in china.

Though it comes with a pack of gillette blades, i use my preferred blades, the dorco st300's.

I was so happy to see gillette was still making its safety razor and the price was great.

Good workmanship and packaging, very close to another razor, which is a bit disappointing!

A well-made, closed comb head that shaves easily without problems.
