I dont race anymore and spd pedals and shoes are going to be more convenient for just about every other riding scenario
As to the obligatory performance portion of the review the soles are stiff
The shoes are noticeably heavier than road shoes of similar calibre
My prior shoes were giro empire acc which were a more comfortable fit but just too much of pain for off the bike
