Pros & Cons
Pros
Tried it out on a small section and glass was totally clean again, no marks. I recommend having a spray bottle of water handy to cool off the glass and keep the polishing pad wet. Car windshield looks better than ever.
A corded drill is a must for the speed and runtime required for a thorough job. Only warning is that kind of like pulling a mixer out of a bowl of batter at full speed.
Cons
My windshield is scratched enough where it affects your vision but not deep enough to catch your fingernail. Did not do anything to the scratches. Will not take scratches out of glass.
Highlights
Quality
I purchased this kit, only hoping for 50% improvement, but i was pleasantly surprised with the finished result.
I was happy with the end result.
I'm happy with the results but it required several passes and a lot of work forcing my corded drill against the windshield.
I used a 20 volt dewalt cordless drill and ran through two batteries with the shifter set to 2000 rpms.
Price
From there, it was just a matter of finding the best price i could.
I was going to replace my windshield, but the 200 dollar + cost, had me searching for a different solution .
Packaging/appearance
I'd bet, with some time, i could remove the scratch entirely.
Finally realized the glass was etched and it was not a scum coating.
Competitiveness
Pad holder fit onto my hitachi 18v cordless drill without any trouble.
