Pros

They provide plenty of light without being obnoxious or blinding. A soft warm light offers a nice ambiance without feeling like you're eating on the runway of a major airport. I wish they were a little brighter.

Beautiful tint and old-fashioned glow. When lit, the whole room glows a warm golden color. But not shockingly lit like the filament.

Cons

I’m surprised to see an incandescent bulb look so unnatural. It distracts from the romantic ambiance i was trying to create with the rustic barrel chandelier.

Packaging/appearance

Be aware that the light is very yellow, in the ~2500k region.

Competitiveness

They dim very well using lutron dimmers, no flicker what-so-ever.

I would prefer a slightly higher kelvin rating.
