Lamp looks as pictured, except it's a little shorter than i expected. Easy to assemble & perfect for a nursery.

The shade isn't translucent so directs the light perfectly. Loove thos lamp. I love the large shade as it balances the size of the corner chair and prevents any glare from the lightbulb.

The base has a great deal of weight to keeping the lamp stable even on plush carpet. The base is nice and heavy, so there’s no danger of tipping if bumped into. It's sleek and simple looking, and it feels very sturdy, even on a carpet floor.

The light is dim af no matter what bulb i use, and i’ve tried 4 types and wattages. The first bulb is dead (i thought led bulbs were rated to last 6+ years) the lampshade sits too low.

Photos are very misleading. Barely over the sofa arm. I was dumb and didn't read it first. It looks ridiculous.
