Competitiveness
I recommend this device for anyone trying to run audio over long distances with a cat5e cable.
It sounds as good as a cd yet costs less than either of my earlier solutions.
The cat5e cable length was about 130 ft with 4 additional connections in breakout boxes.

I needed to transmit digital audio over ethernet to the stereo receiver in another room

I plugged the transmitter via toslink into the tv then on the receiver side plugged in via digital coax

I was hoping i could use the 18 audio jack for ir signal but sadly it only transmits one of the ports at a time so you may need a separate ir extender like my setup
