Often people think with the different hdmi connections there are no solutions rather than buying a new computer

I bought these to try and correct a problem with my 49 sony x800e display which was showing slightly blurred text with kind of blue smear every few characters as if the horizontal pixel count was not quite right when driven directly from hdmi

If i first set the refresh to 30hz at 3840x2160 the screen would come up but windows 10 would insist on setting the scaling to 300 so that the icons and text are large

Its windows 10 weirdness causing problems with the resolution and refresh jump not the adapter
