The product works perfectly for driving a display port display with 4k resolution from am older laptop or desktop at a low cost that only has hdmi output where a usbc and an external video card are not an option

I have an older dell u3011 display that supports 2560 x 1600

When it was made the hdmi standard didnt support that resolution so hdmi on this monitor only goes up to 1920 x 1200

While playing morrowind yes and older game with mods to allow for widescreen use i had it set to run at 1366 x 768 resolution native of my laptop panel

This resolution works perfectly with my windows desktop on the adapter but when running morrowind i get the game in the middle with large black bars around the edges
