The camera picture has great picture quality, even when we zoom in on the picture. The picture is crisp and colorful with vivid night vision. Glitchy at some parts but amazing all the way around.

The gen 2 is much more responsive and snappier than the hello. The biggest change is how this device lives in the google home app and not the nest app. You get many of the nest aware features without the need for the subscription.

It rings the chimes in my house.

I love the look of this doorbell, unfortunately it has some downsides. Buying this on black friday definitely was nice. Even if it was not on sale this item is worth buying.

A word about the wiring. Most all existing doorbell wiring is low-voltage ac. The camera will tolerate a wide range of ac voltage.

Every time the camera sees a person it freezes. There is a setting called automatic battery saver, when turned on says if battery life is less than 7 days, your doorbell will only record when it's pressed.
