Nest thermostat works great with the google home app. Great walk through instructions on the app. Performs very well and meets and or exceeds my expectations. Easy to install in about 30 mins. Works great on the wall and the app is great.
Cons
Google home is not a winner for nest. This one is a pricey inconvenient *. This item is * and was mild headache in the beginning, but has turned into a migraine.
The biggest issue is that the nest thermostat keeps disconnecting from my wifi. The installation is overly complicated and glitches out need to be redone 8 times.
This device is not compatible with alexa. App consistently crashes and getting tech support is very difficult. The app is also not responsive.
I feel like google tried too hard to make this artsy instead of functional. It's almost impossible to operate this lefthanded. An item looks different from the picture and description - it is a glossy mirror instead of foggy.

Works perfectly fine , no issues , mine shows wifi issues because we changed our wifi, amazing product!
Was not able to connect this with the existing older nest app though.
It may have been reset with the power outage, but when i start sweating indoors and have to figure out why, that's frustrating.

All i had to do was take a picture of the wires that were on the unit i used to have and the app told me what needed to be done and what wires went where

It comes with preset “modes” to help save energy and money which can be reprogrammed based on your preferences
