Pros

Ymmv depending on your ac/heater system of course; they have different number of wires so check with someone knowledgeable.

Easy to install, easy to read and easy to control via either the nest app or google home app. Only quibble with it is the app can be confusing to use. The app is actually a google home app.

This means the thermostat is the only place that monitors the temp. This, in turn, means some rooms might get hotter or colder, if your hvac duct work was made incorrectly.

Cons

Tried to reset then factory reset and removed the batteries for 5 minutes as recommended by other users with the same issue. T tried to warranty the device through google. Turned out it is defective nest.

This thermostat is not compatible with the nest app. The google home app interface is bad at best, horrendeous for scheduling. This model, the app, and functions are terrible.

This product not only looks small and flimsy, but it’s also a pain to control since you have to use the side of device to adjust anything. Not easy to install, not easy to configure.

My boyfriend would have saved some time on installation if he had read the directions - a batyle we wage with every new product.

Love the features of this product and shipping was really fast.
