Pros

Much better than the plastic pvc air line. Been in use for 3 months with zero issues. The quality is good and it does not leak!

Steel construction, super flexible hose, no tendency to coil or *. The retraction function works good and reliable. I just hope the spring cartridge last a long time, no reason to think it won't.

Quality reel and hose, compatible to $100 plus reels. Retractable reel allows desired amount of hose to be pulled. Reel is heavy duty as described.

Cons

It is not accessible with sockets and is only slotted openly on one end, so you have to support the entire weight of the unit while installing which makes it a two-man job. The lines near the fittings on all three items are bubbling about to explode!

Just received this last week and as you can see, mounted to my ceiling on a 2 x 8 drilled into the joist.

Competitiveness

Other than a challenging installation, i have no complaints.

I ended up using some lag bolts to secure it to a 2x6 and mount it inbetween two studs in my garage.
