Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a great set for non plumber who will thread the occasional pipe. Works great on hollow water pipes and smaller size dyes. Easy to use for pipe threading.
Cons
Tread cutter and it is junk. The die body is cast, not post machined, and then painted. With just one of those cutting knives loose, my half inch die is completely useless.
No duh. Used plenty of oil, failed anyway. Now i know why the trusted brands are over $200.
Highlights
Quality
The threads were also good npt quality, i.
High quality, metal fabrication, in a nice storage case.
), or else didn't know what they were doing and were expecting ridgid contractor quality that would weather any misuse.
And thread the pipe only to the point the end is flush with the outside face of the threading tool.
Price
In my humble opinion, this kit (at least the one i received) is well-worth the price.
But for the price you can't beat it.
This tool would appear to be cheap, but it is just low cost.
Was a bit dubious based on reviews and cost.
Competitiveness
If you are a homeowner, diy-er, or only need it every once in a while it will work for you.
I broke a die in my commercial threader and was only 60" shy a finishing the job up.
