I did notice that the unit heats up while charging and after using it longer than 1 hour – neither of which are great but thankfully i haven’t noticed any impact to the unit’s performance

Also as a firsttime user the instructions for opening the cavity of the unit to insert the sd card and battery aren’t the best at conveying how you have to grip the indentation on the side hinge of the unit and pull it down and swing it outward to open it

It’s deceiving as i felt worried that i was going to break it the first time through because it’s closed very tight not loose at all like the battery covers on other devices that just pop open easily

Thankfully batteries are cheap and off brands work fine as do the plethora of accessories available for gopro

Regarding overheating i noticed that it does overheat when recording at 4k 120p for around 2 hours depending on the environmental temperature
