I'm very happy with this wifi bacpac for my gopro hero 2.
With the current price hovering around ~$80 it would not be worth it to me for an older camera.
Downloading the app to my droid phone was easy.
Great way to connect to your phone with the gopro app.
Price
The price dropped dramatically and i realized that i didn't need the remote.

Works fine with my iphone5 and easy to set up.
It does what it's supposed to turns a hero2 into a hero3, except bigger.
However hooking up the unit to a powerbank helped a lot :-) lasted almost 10 hours.

Wished the wifi bac pac has an on off control remotely from the phone app too

The app can control the camera but not the wifi and the life of battery of the wifi bac pac is quite short and without the wifi the unit is as good as dead even if the camera battery is full especially when the unit is fixed on a difficult to reach position

I slapped this on my old hero 2 did the software upgrade and it has been working well ever since
