The metal is sturdy and good quality, no rust, etc. The hardware is strong. It absorbs water very well.

The best part is that when my dog lunges, the impact is lessened and the brunt is stressed onto the leash and not the user. I have an akita that, at times, loves to pull me when she spots something out of nowhere lol.
Cons
My 30lb beagle hardly has enough room to be in front of me when we walk due to the length of the leash. The locking clasp you put to lock it onto a collar is flimsy metal. This leash is basically pretty reflective floss!
The clamp is extremely weak. This product is junk.

All it took was a couple chomps to cut right through a leash i had bought elsewhere.
