The color i received is not quite black more of a very very dark bronzed color that looks black from a distance

However you do have the option of leaving this unassembled using the top and bottom baskets separately just leave out the supports so thats what i did and i like that option

It is pretty tall so you might want to look at the measurements and take that into account if you plan on putting it in a place that does not have much space inbetween the height like a bar area with a low light which is where i had my previous fruit stand and i was gonna put this one there but it would not work because of the height
