After the machine comes to pressure there is a constant hiss that can be heard across the room throughout the entire cooking process

I just tried to pressure cook the meatballs for 5 minutes as it said

I ended up pushing the poultry button which was for 8 minutes and manually turned it off after 5

Then i read the directions again and looked closely at the control panel and realized there is a small button that says pressure cook right about the plus and minus sign
