As soon as my phone leaves the kitchen the thermometer looses its connection meaning i have to leave my phone in the kitchen for 2 hours while my gammon roasts. Not suitable for purpose.

My unit came 1c out overshooting temp which whilst not bad is not a great start

But to be honest i will tend to use my smoker within line of sight therefore the 2 hour limit on something i shouldnt leave the home whilst smoking food food safety nall that im ok with that especially as the reason i bought the govee is because my inkbird died within a few uses at home under warranty i needed a replacement in a hurry

For outdoors it is not waterproof so bagging it in a clipseal type bag is my preferred option along with a bag of moisture drawing dessicant
