If tv backlighting is something you are in the market for, this is a great buy. The rgb strips appear to have 3m hvd adhesive so i'm not too worried about them unsticking from the back of my 65 tv. It matches the colors it sees on screen amd lights up... Read More

Govee products have been working reliably, with consistent updates to improve functionality and add new features. The app has lots of options and can customize colours, which can spend hours doing. They work with alexa and google assistant.

This product was just released. This updated version is incredible! Not a product out there remotely close to this product. It was an amazing cyber monday deal!

There is no lag in the mode switching. The cameradetects lights and colors on the tv.

Cons

This govee kit is very hard to install perfectly. Its an adhesive mess. Raspberry pi, light mi neo, ambivision pro, and hue light are way more accurate.

Base colors like rgb looks good, but skin tones, sand, and browns are awfully inaccurate. The calibration of the camera is also very tough. The lights don't move they flicker and shake.

The camera is sensitive after being used so try not bumping it or you'll just have to reset it (which takes only a minute or 2).

The govee brand is great and a wonderful alternative to the phillips ones and so much cheaper!
