The app connects via bluetooth. It's like a ping pong ball, and is removable/replaceable. Controlled via the govee app, or alexa/google.

Cons

Only 2 lights out of the whole string still work. All bulbs are full of water. The lights say indoor or outdoor use and yet the power supply is not weather proof - what? Bought the 100ft package, exactly a third of one strand still comes on.

They do not weigh enough to hang onto a cable properly, so i had to install with the zip ties on either side of each lamp.

I plugged the string into a z-wave plug to automate when the lights go on and off.

If i had to complain about anything, it's that i couldn't find a string with a z-wave controller.

But when i saw it’s just two sets with two 50ft connected together, i immediately returned it to get two 50ft for only $79.
