Battery compartment is a bit fiddly to get into whole back panel comes off but that is only a once per year job

It took me longer than id like to admit to get things started since the back has to come off in order to install the battery its included just blocked by a plastic tab that needs to be removed

Theres a tab on the back that is the right place for a coin or something similar to wedge in and pry off the back but i was hesitant to put too much force as it seemed like it was potentially going to break the housing rather than pop off a battery cover

I was a bit leery of using the app as it doesnt seem to add anything useful for my purposes but it may be more appropriate for people who have this in a safe or a hardtoreach area or need to keep track of fluctuations in a programatic way

The nature of eink takes a bit of getting used to as whenever the numbers change the display appears to flicker and then update

Not something to worry about unless its in a setting where the slight motion would be distracting but then again so would any readout that changes
