The great northern popcorn popper has a good heavy base and the stainless steel construction that makes it much more durable. The gear mechanism is also metal so it shouldn't wear out like my last popper. High quality materials.
Cleaning is easy, and it goes back together easy, thats 2 pieces[pot and top]. But it is much heavier than the aluminum models. No more wasting or unsatisfactory popcorn.
Cons
This popper is flimsy and poorly designed. The lid and handle combination is, in my view, dangerous. The mechanism on this is majorly flawed.

Competitiveness
Easy clean up and the hinge actually has a hing pin in it unlike the other brands which use tabs.
