The sides nevertheless have distortion due to the built-in sharp angle of the acrylic clear face plate sides. I am sure this is just a malfunctioned or poorly built one.
The purging of co2 through the values is not efficient enough to clear the buildup. Your safety is not worth compromising for a poorly designed and dangerous product.
It's a cheap rubber flap that isn't molded properly and does not seal at all.
