Highlights
Quality
Meikke gas a knack of never boring a person with the same monster twice and little to no unnecessary, space filling dialogue.
With the exception of “in the spring” which was a bit too obscure for me, this is a good (and cheap) sampler of meikle’s work.
From the mystery and the melancholy hideousness of the title story onwards, the quality just doesn't drop.
