Pros

It’s very small and perfect for everyday use. My best purchase in a year. It is very easy to clean.

The mortar and pestle are marble and seem to be a great quality too. Had been using a rubberized mallet to pound walnuts and pecans into little pieces. Before first use, pound and grind rice with pestle until powder, empty.

Cons

Broke at third use while meshing garlic. There are so many raised rings on the inside that the pestle can't make full contact. I am furious this has damaged our kitchen countertop.

Mortar has deep grooves and crevices not polished out in the manufacturing process. Very rough lathe marks and a 3/4 inch hole in the bottom. Marble debris mixes with the item i'm grinding.
