They are quite helpful, much easier then unrolling a spool of wire. Keeps the wires in order, not twisting from unspooling coils of wire. Helps feed cable into cutouts in walls in house wiring.

Also when you have it shipped make sure there is some padding between the plate and the guide because they will get beat up during shipping and i got one that was warpednot from amazon
