Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

These are my go-to disposable spoons that i use at work. They are sturdy and work just like any other plastic spoon - there is nothing weird about the scoop. This is as close to an actual spoon as it gets.

Good product. Meets my expectations and needs. Made our baby shower less stress. Also work really well for keeping the squirrels away.

The fac that it biodegradable is a great eco-friendly plus. They're bpa-free, too. They are biodesgradable in a factory, which takes 6 months.

Cons

The knives and forks break with the slightest pressure, the knives break when i try to spread margarine on toast. Dixie utensils are much better as are cvs and walgreens own brand--made in america and very sturdy.

The corn industry emits more fossil fuels than any other (factory industry) these are advertised as 100 percent biodegradable. They need to be composted industrially.

Quality

It is sturdy and these knives cut everything (including cooked meat) on your dinner plate without breaking.

They are sturdy for disposable spoons and not flimsy; smooth and comfortable in your hand and not sharp like some plastic cutle...  Read More

These are made from corn -- arenewable bioplastic plant-based material.

Somehow these have got thru the dishwasher and have not melted, yet they really do compost.

Price

Totally worth a little extra cost for the peace of mind that they are biodegradable.

They are a great value for the money and they are compostable!

A little more expensive than a plastic fork but worth it.

Packaging/appearance

I buy these spoons to pack in my kids’ school lunches, and have bought them twice now.

Competitiveness

Super sturdy stuff and better for the environment than other brands!

The material is stronger than other plant based utensils that i have tried in the past.
