Pros & Cons
Pros
Have not used headlights for cutting yet. It effortlessly cuts through the grass, delivering a clean and even finish. Cuts nice and wide, it's well powered and doesn't stall easily.
It's very quiet, self-propelled, maneuverable. The cord maneuvering takes some getting used to.
I was thrilled with the quality-of-build of this lawnmower. The dual charger dock allows you to slide your extension cable between two mowers. It runs smooth and does a great job.
Cons
The battery life is not worth the lower price of $400 for a good battery operated lawn mower. The mower itself is great, when it's working. The blower is almost worthless.
The charger is red instead of green flashing and the mower is useless. Overheating and drain after full charge. Tried virtual assistant, useless.
Greenworks does not fix anything, not refund or replace. This is now a large useless object in my garage. Returning due to too many negative reviews on greenworks customer service.
The trimmer isn't powerful enough to cut through thicker weeds. It now takes about 4 full charges to mow my small lawn even when it's bone dry and mowing every 2 weeks.
Handle bar very flimsy, needed duck tape to stabilize. Blade spins freely, power cable functioning, no chord pulling or anything at the time it stopped working.
Highlights
Quality
Great mower, needs a reverse, a little heavy when not in self propelled mode.
Plenty of power and seems to be nice quality of the mower.
If you let the handles that engage the mowers, and still have the handles pulled in on the drive unit, it will eventually shut ... Read More
Mows the back of a 10,000 sq ft yard in one charge but barely.
Price
An excellent value for a self-propelled battery mower.
We started researching battery power motors, and i believe this was top 5 on lists for quality at a lower cost.
At the $190 i paid back then, it was a purchase i’m still proud of.
No matter what the cost is, for normal operation no way anyone will survive on 2 batteries for more than a few months.
Shipping
Received it a couple of weeks ago.
Competitiveness
I’m comparing this to a neighbors cordless model.
