Pros

The battery goes for 30 minutes and i have 2 which together provide an hour of runtime which is sufficient for my needs. The power lasts a lot longer than i expected.

For $10 get the bag of ready to swap replacement spools.

This is what i need for buzzing the weeds and trimming the yard. It’s sharp and able to cut the edging grass nicely. It seems to do a good job on our florida augusta grass.

Greenworks lawn mower is amazing. I get through half of my front yard (it is fairly large) and have to recharge. Mowed the yard and am very happy w/ the purchase.

Cons

Just more low quality stuff to toss in our bursting landfills. It's lightweight but only because of its hollow aluminum handle that buckles under minimal stress. The manual is absolute garbage and does not really help in assembly.

The trimmer has no power this spring. Occasional speed bursts indicate the electrical connection is faulty.

There is no auto feeder for the line as it claims and the line that comes with it is junk. String breaks constantly, so quickly it legitimately seems intentional. The button to change from trimming to edging is already stuck and i have to pry it out.

I wanted a 40v but i bought this one that is 24v and it works great.

The greenworks 24v 12" cordless string trimmer delivers on its promise of being a lightweight, long-lasting, and adequately powerful tool.

Notably, i may be unfairly comparing it to my greenworks lawnmower that holds two huge batteries and lasts a very long time.

I sold my old greenworks trimmer because it didnt function like i wanted.
