Pros & Cons
Pros
Electric * eater is the 10 amp version. Works as well as any gas operated * eater i've ever used. It is the middle ground between standard tiny lot in a subdivision home needs and heavy duty professional groundskeeper gas powered trimmers.
A spool is kind of mandatory to keep the cord from tangling up in the future. I have a lot of thick stemmed weeds to contend with regularly and this * eater rips through stems like butta' the trade off is great consistent and reliable, yet powerful cu... Read More
Cons
Replacement spools for this model do not exist. The one received has an integral raised bump knob. Watch out for flying spools of line.
I need to return what is otherwise a terrific string trimmer because of all the misinformation and lack of vetting. Overall, it's just poor design internally and externally. Keep you money, this thing is junk!
The trim line snaps quickly. The trimmer line reload is a pain but nothing out of the ordinary. The difficulty in loading string is too much.
The d-handle has no rotational stop. It spins around the shaft even with the clamp bolt very tight. It seems the power is too much for the head to handel.

I gfenerally have had bad luck with tools that are gas powered, they have more possible failure points.

99 price it is still relatively inexpensive and will get the job done even if you don't upgrade the head.
Shipping
Having read the reviews before the trimmer got here i went to hd and bought a pivotrim head even before the trimmer was delivered.
Called greenworks later that week and they are sending a new battery.
Packaging/appearance
I finally got it and used it yesterday, one ho<r out of package, and it was awesome.
Competitiveness
During my research i came to the conclusion to go another route as to not deal with battery changes as i deal with tall weeds.
A better alternative with the hard starting gas powered ones.
