Pros

The handle rotates and the tool is pretty well balanced. You really need the shoulder strap and get it balanced as it is pretty heavy but it is way better than climbing and moving a ladder - safer too!

I need to cut the fountain grass that surrounds my yard. I have about 100 large azaleas and gardenias on a hill, and a pole hedger is the only way to go. The trimmer cuts good for 1\2 inch branches.

Batteries and charger are interchangeable. Ditch the gas.

Cons

Greenworks trimmer is very heavy and difficult to use. The strap attachment point for the strap is no where near the center of gravity so is super awkward.

The battery life is better than with the leaf blower.

Long story short: i don’t think the hedge trimmer with the extension handle is a good tool to use for detailed hedge clipping.

I bought the trimmer with the extension handle.

Competitiveness

As with other greenworks products, i am very satisfied.

The greenworks battery system works with a string trimmer, a leaf blower, and this hedge trimmer.

I tried with a 2ah 80v battery and it ran well for 15 min of usage.

Fountain grass is too tough for string trimmers and at 8ft tall way too much for anything other than hedge clippers.
